Tagwood BBQ
The Tagwood BBQ Experience
Tagwood BBQ isn't just cooking—it's a journey into authentic Argentinian gaucho grilling. This Latin-style (cowboy) cooking method celebrates the artistry of indirect heat, using adjustable grates positioned above carefully cultivated coals from premium hardwoods like hickory, quebracho, and oak.
The magic happens when you embrace the entire process: nurturing the perfect coals, spreading them methodically across a fire brick base, and allowing them to slowly caress your food to perfection. This deliberate approach turns everyday ingredients into exceptional meals.
For those who appreciate the ritual as much as the result, Tagwood rewards your patience with unparalleled flavors that leave an indelible impression on everyone fortunate enough to gather at your table. This is gaucho grilling—widely regarded as the world's finest barbecue tradition.
Tagwood BBQ Collections We Love
Santa Maria
Tagwood BBQ gives you the ultimate tools to create an exceptional taste experience. The Santa Maria grills are world-renowned in culinary circles and will instantly be recognized by their solid stainless steel and unique-looking structures. They are designed to deliver that exceptional Latin barbecue taste you will never forget and learn to love. You can purchase them here in a stainless or black finish, and they all include the signature elevated grill grate platform that allows you to meticulously control the temperature to which your food is exposed by lowering or raising the grate from the coals beneath them. Most charcoal grills only include a fixed grill grate, but this is where the Gaucho grills excel. They only use coal, and they all control the distance the food is placed from the heat source. The Santa Maria is available as a freestanding grill or built-in. All Tagwood grills are delivered partially assembled, so you do not have to waste time getting your meal started.
The Beast
This massive structure is imposing. It uses a crank to control the main grill grate, giving you upwards of 1700 square inches of grilling space across 5-6 grates, depending on the model you choose. All options in the Beast include a clamp grill - unique to Argentina - where a slanted clamp grate will lean over the hot coals at a 45 degree angle allowing the juices to run down the food in the clamp and season them to perfection. These models are designed with heavy gauge stainless steel and include the customary fire brick base that holds the hot coals you feed to it from the 'brasero'. The Beast caters to cooking for large groups or commercial-style cooking environments, too.
