What We Love About Hestan

Apart from the Steeletto custom-finished stainless steel handle and control board, Hestan excels at several features in its grills.

Burners: The burners are robust, with a strength range of 23k—25k BTUs, and are made from high-grade 321 stainless steel. Powerful burners dramatically impact food taste, allowing you to char and crust your meats without overcooking. Both collections come standard with a hot surface ignition starter, a significant benefit usually reserved for the very top end of the market.

Ceramic Tray: The ceramic briquettes are the most unique internal feature because the briquettes are mounted into the tray at an angle instead of flat. This unique variance allows residue that falls onto the ceramic during cooking to easily flow off and into the drip tray beneath. The ceramic tray is also reversible, so you can self-clean the briquettes when there is build-up by inverting them directly over the burners to clean.

Custom Colors: Both major collections offer the ability to choose from a beautiful color palette that will blend your grill into your outdoor kitchen and give it your unique touch. These durable powder-coated stainless steel panels included colors like Citra (orange), Orion (Dark blue), Reef (Pastel Pink), Stealth (Black), Prince (Royal Blue), Bora Bora (Light Blue) and Sol (yellow).

Made in the USA: Hestan makes all its grills and outdoor kitchen equipment in Southern California.

Hestan vs Hestan Aspire: What Is The Difference?

The two main collections from Hestan outdoor cooking are the 'The Hestan' and the 'Hestan Aspire' collections. The Aspire is the more budget-friendly version of the Hestan, similar to Lynx, which has the Professional vs. Sedona series. The Aspire does not lose any exterior design features that make a Hestan grill so distinct and sought after. Most of the changes are inside the grill, as detailed here:

Rotisserie: This is built into the hood on the Hestan and is standard, whereas it is an optional addition on the Aspire. You cannot see the motor on the Hestan, whereas on the Aspire, it's mounted on the side of the hood. The infrared burner on The Hestan is located under the roof of the grill and not in the back wall. This means you get more cooking options because the rotisserie can now act as a broiler and expand how you cook various foods. It also means you can top-sear your meat from the shelf below the IR burner salamander style and add more regular grate grilling space for the gas burners because you do not need to give portions of the grill surface to an IR burner.

Grates: The 5/16th-inch diamond-cut grates on the Hestan are thick and unique in styling compared to the standard type grates on the Aspire.

Burners: The Hestan has a 25K BTU burner for the gas burner, whereas the Aspire has a 23K BTU burner strength. The burner on the Aspire is U-shaped, whereas The Hestan has the Trellis burner, which spreads the heat in a ladder-type format.

Hood Assist: The Hestan hood is designed to open with a single finger and remain positioned at any angle you choose to leave it open. The Aspire hood is spring-assisted and will not remain open at any angle. The springs on the hood are also mounted into the hood, so they are not exposed. The thickness of the hood is almost an inch thick on the Hestan, which means better insulation and safety.

Colored Panels: On 'The Hestan,' the color panels extend down to the cart, whereas the Hestan Aspire will have a color control panel and a touch of matching color on the cart just behind the handles. For The Hestan, all the doors below the grill will be matched with color panels.
