It has an adjustable heat level that goes up to 4,800 BTUs, that of which you can alter depending on your needs at a given time. This includes turning it off entirely during the warm summer months. It can be controlled using the included remote control so you can adjust it from the comfort of your sofa. You are also free to adjust the flame height settings just as conveniently.
